剧情从解放战争末期开始，解放军某部连长傅子刚和医生魏景林接到上级命令去占领、接管国军某医院，恰遇正在做手术的国军少校军医郑达志，从此开启了三家两代人近四十年的交往与友情，从敌对、到共事、再到默契，历经坎坷，悲欢离合，生死与共，紧握的手再也不会分开……。Framing StoryDr Martin (Robert Powell) arrives at a secluded asylum "for the incurably insane" to be interviewed for a job by the wheelchair-using, authoritarian Dr Lionel Rutherford (Patrick Magee). Rutherford explains that he owes his current incapacitation to an attack by an inmate. Rutherford reveals his unorthodox plan to determine Martin's suitability for the post of head...。
